Career dreams become reality. Meet Shawn.

ICE Malta alumni are the school’s greatest ambassadors because they have witnessed just how powerful the world-class study experience is and have moved on to achieve extraordinary career results. Shawn Schembri is no exception. Shawn has been working in the ICT Arena for close to a decade and managed to score his dream career as Network Solutions Architect at MITA while studying at ICE Malta.

Where are you working now?

As a Networks Solutions Architect at MITA my job is to handle the design and implementation of all government ICT projects and keep to the assigned budgets set. While like in all industries I have my fair share of challenging moments, my career is extremely rewarding and I love what I do immensely.

What are your career aspirations?

My aim is to continue to advance in my selected field, learn new technologies and increase my skill-set – I believe this is extremely important for anyone who wants to remain relevant and competitive in the ICT Arena.

What are the secrets to career success?

Motivation, determination, constant learning and not being afraid of new challenges. The more you get involved in different projects, the more knowledge you gain. Ultimately, the trick is to stay positive and focus on the goals you want to achieve.
