The October 2013 Semester marketing campaign includes ICE Malta’s sponsorship of Malta’s first Konnekt eSports Festival which will be held this weekend (Friday 8th – Sunday 10th November 2013).
‘We immediately wanted to support this festival mostly because a number of our students as well as our core team, are avid game enthusiasts and we work very closely with the Game Design industry in the Maltese islands and recognize the immense opportunities for our local creative talent. Rather than a typical brand presence exercise, we came up with something a bit different, by now this is what is expected from us and this is what we love to deliver. So we invited some of the island’s top game design industry leaders, both local and foreign, to join us and share their experiences, behind the scenes of their projects and of course wise words. Our aim is simple, to show gamers and their families, that a passion for games can lead to a career. During this academic year we’ve emphasized on the importance of students choosing subjects and study paths they love, and this is certainly a clear example of having a love for games turn into a career in one of the world’s most successful industries’ Matthew Sammut, creative director ICE Malta explained
So without further delay, here’s our first in a series of featurettes dedicated to our certifications, our study experience and above all, our students – Game Industry in the Maltese islands.
