“At 34, he could see thirty more years in the same job. He chose a different one.”

Warren was a radiographer. At 34, he stopped and looked at where that road was going.

“At 34, I realised I had another thirty years of being a radiographer. I honestly couldn’t imagine doing it any longer, let alone until I retire.”

So he decided to start somewhere new, with the Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing at ICE Campus.

Going back to study meant facing an old picture of what learning looked like.

“I’ve always associated learning with being in a classroom, sitting on a chair, looking at a lecturer and not being able to move.”

This time, he studied from home, “in the comfort of my own home, even in my pyjamas if I wanted to.” Every lesson was recorded. If his attention drifted during a session, or he wanted to go over something again, he could go back to it later at his own pace.

“That helped me a lot, because I could go back.”

Before the exam, he went through every lesson again. It worked. “I can say I did very well. I was satisfied with the mark I got.”

He liked the online lectures so much that he kept going. “I got such a good vibe from the online lectures, I did another course in iGaming.” With the Professional Diploma and iGaming Foundations behind him, he felt ready to apply for jobs in an industry he had never worked in.

“Now that I have the Digital Marketing qualification and iGaming Foundations, I can enter the world of iGaming and start looking for work.”

Then the phone rang.
